Leo Kottke - World Made to Order (partial cover)
Sometimes he looks like he can't wait to go home. That's great. I listen to him since the late 70s. I never got tired like him.
Utter Mastery!!!
some phish "shushers" in the audience, I see (er, hear). lol
I love this so much. I almost cry each time I hear it. I named my old pickup truck Louise.
First time I listened to Jack knife Gypsy my life changed. Bonnie is amazing on this song, Leo puts a fantastic spin on it. Paul Siebel wrote a fine fine song!!!
A Shout Towards Noon is the only Leo album I had and What The Arm Said was - A Virtuoso Is His Own Reward
A timeless composition by Leo and very well played by you. Thx. All the best to you and your loved ones. Btw: who was allowed to leave an autograph on your guitar?
Leo is a legend. Much deserved.
been a massive fan for so many years. will listen to Leo forever.
The best song David Bromberg never wrote...
I think the only time in this man's life when he isn't holding a guitar is when he's asleep. It is literally an extension of his body.
Never new Dexter could play such a mean guitar
so close no matt-
Those are some CHONKY chords
I never get tired of listening to him.
Me neither, dreams and all that stuff , eh?
Does anyone know the correct tuning? I guess it might be tuned down a half step for less stress on the 12-string neck. But is it that way all the way across?
Beautiful
You played it just like I like to hear it, thank you again!
One of the more engaging live performers I've ever seen.
Wunderbares Meisterstück.
unbelievable, no one can ever top him, no one
"Go play the E, A, and B major chords over and over, and make it interesting." Leo Kottke: "No problem."
Lol.. i was a viola player in hs orchestra and me and thecbrass section used to do practical jokes with the audience and the orchestra usually unannounced but tasty.. leo shines thru his experiences there too im sure! Lol thanks, great video
Absolutely Amazing👏
This can bring to my eyes, especially when I've had a drink... I didn't mean to kill her...
One of my very favorite songs. I love it v
Sounds like 3 guitars playing simultaneously…
Damn near a percussive instrumental
Good and human
OMG. I've been listening to this song for decades, and I just now realized, it's not "lies" as in "tells a lie"; it's "lies" as in "lies down dead". I always felt like "lies" was like a "pre-echo" for "dies", but he just shied away from saying the word. Suddenly the words make sense. "tell me how I could see you now ...". "watch their little days, turning into dark." "Underneath the trees tonight where little men sleep" doesn't just mean under the branches. Is "Sunnyland Park" maybe "Sunnyland Memorial Park"? This is a dark song.
I've been listening to this song for decades too. The first time I heard it was while attending a Leo concert in Manhattan in 1992. I am convinced that he is calling everybody a liar. Though your alternative explanation is intriguing.
I guess I am repeating myself. Dementia????
My name is Julie. I wish this song was about me.
Perfection
What a ballad. It’s timeless.
A great instrumental.I love this music!
Cried listening to to your cover l, amazing work and finger technique 🙏
Would love to hear Leo and Bonnie Raitt do this as a duet....😢
Magnificent!
I love his description of his voice: "A goose fart on a foggy morning".
Playing a beautiful Olson guitar.
Jesus throw away your electric guitar and learn from this guy how it’s really done
Bad A-. Been listening to him for 49 years.
😩😱😶🌫️🥳😇
The geese are in fine fettle here...
You could look at changing from acoustic to electric is like throwing away vinyl for techno overload.
My name is Julie. I wish this song was about me. Leo Leo Leo.
In concert his intro to this song was once, "I'm gonna take a lovely simple melody and drive into the ground." Awesome song!
He says that in the “My Feet Are Smiling” version!
Fantastic
The pinnacle of solo steel string guitar playing right there
A real Authentic human being! Peace and Love!
